The high point of each work period is the concert tour. The National Youth Orchestra performs up to 25 concerts each year, allowing the young musicians to play not only in the famous concert halls of Berlin, Leipzig, Cologne, and Munich, but also in smaller cities such as Coesfeld, Waiblingen, or Kiel, underscoring the orchestra’s commitment to musical culture in all parts of the country. 

The young artists travel throughout the world as musical ambassadors for Germany, participating in projects of considerable social and political significance.
