Winter 2023: Music as a contemporary witness

The National Youth Orchestra of Germany starts the concert year 2023 together with an old well-known and today celebrated worldwide violinist: Christian Tetzlaff, himself a member and concertmaster of the National Youth Orchestra of Germany from 1979 to 1983, will play the solo part in Josef Suk's Fantasy in G minor op. 24 for violin and orchestra. Antonín Dvořák's concert overture "Carnival" and Luigi Dallapiccola's Variazioni per orchestra will also be performed alternately. Dmitri Shostakovich's 11th Symphony will conclude the programme.
