Concertgebouw Amsterdam, Elbphilharmonie Hamburg, Kloster Eberbach and Beethovenfest Bonn: in summer 2024, the National Youth Orchestra of Germany will invite the World Youth Choir to join its tour for the first time. It will be working with the choir on the 200th anniversary of Beethoven's 9th Symphony, which speaks of the unbridled joy and enthusiasm of youth. Maestro Tan Dun, who will alternate as conductor with Jörn Hinnerk Andresen on this tour, will present the young people with an "Ode to Compassion", an ode to compassion and mercy, which will be premiered on this summer tour.
